We hold different CPD and training events throughout the year. Please get in touch to book your place on any of these events.
Cheshire Archives and Local Studies Education Offer
Monday 16 May at 3.45pm via Teams or Thursday 19 May at 3.45pm at ELS
Cheshire Archives and Local Studies are currently bidding for funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund which would allow them to expand the support that they can offer to local schools, such as creating learning resource packs (available through ELS) containing sources and stories to support curriculum based learning. They are currently working with ELS to make sure that these packs are pertinent, accessible and exciting, and would like teachers' input on what kind of topics, materials and formats would be most useful to them.
You are invited to a discussion about what kinds of local history resources would be useful in your classroom. At these events Katie Owen (Local Studies Advisor) and Dan Edmonds (Community Engagement Officer) will be able to answer questions you may have about what the archives can currently offer, amd will ask your thoughts on how they can develop resources for schools.
These sessions will be a chance to find out more about what the archives can offer teachers and to help shape their education programme to make sure it works for you and your pupils. Whether you work in primary, secondary or specialist provision, we would love to hear from you - all are welcome.
Please email educationlibraryservice@cheshiresharedservices.gov.uk to register your interest, stating which session you would like to attend.
